The 2024 GMC Yukon XL is a massive SUV with a spacious interior, great features, and powerful abilities. Up to nine people can fit in this extended version of the regular Yukon, and with different styles available, it's an excellent choice if you want a large car with nice extras.
Trim Levels
The basic model is the SLE with its 18-inch aluminum wheels and LED lights, while the SLT adds a hands-free programmable power liftgate. Made for driving off-road, the AT4 has all-terrain tires, a front skid plate, and a unique front look. The Denali has 20-inch six-spoke multidimensional polished aluminum wheels and heated mirrors, and the top-of-the-range model, the Denali Ultimate, has 22-inch ultra-bright wheels and Vader Chrome parts. While all models have GMC's unique C-shaped LED lights, each trim has different wheel choices and exterior details, giving each model a unique look.
Engine
The Yukon XL has three engine choices. The SLE, SLT, and AT4 models have a 5.3-liter V-8 engine with 355 horsepower. For extra power, a 6.2-liter V-8 engine with 420 horsepower comes as standard with the Denali models and is optional with the AT4. Most models also have the option of a 3.0-liter Duramax Turbo-Diesel engine, which offers 277 horsepower. All engines use a 10-speed automatic transmission to make the car run smoothly. The Yukon XL can handle massive loads and is able to pull up to 8,200 pounds when set up correctly.
Performance
The Yukon XL has several features that assist in different driving conditions, including four-wheel drive, which helps the car grip the road better in challenging places. The Denali models come with Magnetic Ride Control, which ensures a smooth ride, and you can also get a system that lets you change how high the car rides. The Traction Select System allows you to choose modes for different driving conditions.
Interior
The Yukon XL is designed to be cozy and luxurious. Depending on the model, it can fit seven to nine people, and it has up to 144.7 cubic feet of space for your belongings. The main feature is a 10.2-inch screen for playing music and displaying maps. The higher-range models have extras such as a 15-inch display on the windshield and screens for people in the back seats. The Denali and Denali Ultimate also have a handy sliding center console.
Safety Features
The Yukon XL puts safety first, and all models have GMC Pro Safety, which includes features that can stop the car in the event of danger, help you stay in your lane, and turn on high beams when needed. You can also get GMC Pro Safety Plus to help you see cars behind you and in your blind spots. Some models add Super Cruise for assistance with driving on certain roads. The Yukon XL also offers up to 13 camera views to help you see all around the vehicle, making driving safer in many situations.
