The 2023 GMC Canyon is a powerful and versatile mid-sized pickup truck designed to tackle worksites, off-roading trails, and the highway with ease. Newly redesigned for the 2023 model year, there’s a lot to learn about the latest iteration of the Canyon.
Meet the 2023 GMC Canyon
The GMC Canyon is powered by a standard 2.7L turbocharged inline four-cylinder engine that produces 310 horsepower, and can tow up to a maximum of 7,700 pounds, depending on the trim level chosen. Speaking of trims, the Canyon is available in five: the entry-level Elevation, the AT4, the Denali, the off-road capable AT4X, and the luxurious premium AT4X Edition 1.
What’s New for 2023?
The AT4-X off-roading trim is a brand-new addition to the Canyon lineup and offers increased ground clearance, 33-inch all-terrain tires, locking front and rear differentials, and an upgraded suspension system to give you the ability to easily traverse multiple types of terrain. The Edition 1 version of the AT4X is also a new addition and adds extra surround-view cameras, a winch, light bars, and trim-specific bumpers.
The interior of the Canyon has also been updated to include a new digital instrument cluster behind the steering wheel and minor adjustments that create more leg and headroom for both the driver and passengers. New options include underbody cameras, a heads-up display that is projected onto the windshield, and a seven-speaker premium Bose sound system.
