With the 2024 GMC Sierra 1500’s strength, comfort, and sophistication, the newest GMC pickup truck boasts versatility no other ride in its vehicle class can match. We believe this is one of the many reasons the newest Sierra 1500 has become one of the most sought-after trucks in today’s market.
A Tough Build
The newest Sierra 1500’s iconic chrome grille header and black grille bars make it immediately recognizable, and the Sierra 1500 has chrome front and rear bumpers and black door handles to match the grille. Both corners of the rear bumper feature a CornerStep for easy cargo access, the power-adjustable side-view mirrors have heating functions, and the cabin is protected by solar-absorbing privacy glass. The headlamps and taillights are C-shaped with signature lighting and fade on/off animations.
The pickup’s cargo bed is manufactured with high-strength roll-formed steel, and the 2024 Sierra 1500 sits on a fully boxed frame made with the same high-strength steel. The truck’s build includes a hydroformed front section that grants the Sierra 1500 improved strength and stability as well as better balance and weight distribution.
A Powerful Engine
The base model 2024 Sierra 1500 comes equipped with a TurboMax engine that allows the truck 310 horsepower and 430 lb.-ft. of torque. The included eight-speed automatic transmission features a Haul/Towing mode that will increase throttle power and provide additional braking power by remapping upshift and downshift points. Additionally, the Powertrain Grade Braking program keeps your Sierra 1500 from speeding up when traveling downhill by automatically adjusting the transmission and engine to maintain a consistent speed.
While the Powertrain Grade Braking system increases the longevity of your brakes by reducing wear and tear, the included Cruise Grade Braking works with the cruise control program to keep downhill driving controlled by automatically downshifting as you descend. The rear-wheel-drive truck has four-wheel antilock disc brakes equipped with Duralife rotors and Ferritic Nitro Carburizing. The rotors minimize braking vibrations, the Carburizing minimizes rust, and both of these features double the life expectancy of your brakes.
Programs Designed for Your Safety
A truck this powerful needs ample safety features, which is why GMC included the GMC Pro Safety suite as a standard feature on the base model. This suite includes Forward Collision Alert with tailgating notifications and potential collision warnings, Front Pedestrian Braking with pedestrian/cyclist detection and warnings, and Automatic Emergency Braking that engages autonomously when any of these warnings occur and the driver fails to respond in time.
The suite also includes the Following Distance Indicator, which tells you if you’re following behind the preceding vehicle too closely, and Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning, which alerts you if you drift over the painted road lines. Lane Keep Assist can also briefly take control of the steering wheel to get you back into your lane.
This year’s Sierra 1500’s robust mechanics and premium comfort make it an ideal choice for both work and play. Email us today at Oxendale GMC in Flagstaff, AZ with any inquiry about the 2024 Sierra 1500, and our staff will reach out to you as soon as possible!
