The full-size pickup segment is highly competitive, with rivals nipping at the heels of one another. The 2025 GMC Sierra 1500 manages to stand out from the rest by catering to buyers’ need for choice and versatility. With eight trims, four engines, three cab styles, and three bed lengths to choose from, buyers will have no issue finding a Sierra 1500 that meets their needs.

Strong Engine Options

The Sierra 1500 offers no less than four capable engines, and is the only truck in its class to offer a diesel engine. The standard gas engine across most trims is a 2.7L TurboMax I4, delivering 310 hp and 430 lb-ft of torque. SLT and Denali models upgrade to a 5.3L V8 that produces 355 hp and 383 lb-ft of torque. Denali Ultimate uses an even bigger 6.2L V8, rated for 420 hp.

For 2025, AT4 and AT4X models come with the 3.0L Duramax Turbo-Diesel I6 that generates 305 hp and 495 lb-ft of torque. Paired with a 10-speed automatic, it delivers exceptional fuel economy and strong towing power, enabling the max tow rating of 13,200 pounds when properly equipped.

Versatile Interior

Crew Cab models are the most spacious, with over 43.4 inches of rear legroom. Double Cab configurations offer 35.2 inches of rear legroom and are offered in lower and mid-level trims. The Regular Cab layout (no rear seats) is limited to the base Pro trim.

Interior amenities vary greatly between the trims, gaining in luxury as you climb the lineup. Pro and SLE models make ideal work trucks, with durable cloth seats and easy-to-clean surfaces. Denali and Denali Ultimate are the pinnacle of refinement, with full-grain leather, massaging front seats, and wood trim.

Bed and Utility

The Sierra offers three bed lengths: 5’8″, 6’6″, and 8′. No matter your desired bed length, all come with 12 tie-downs rated at 500 pounds each. Optional features include LED bed lighting and a 120V power outlet. SLT and above comes with the MultiPro Tailgate. It offers six different functions, including a flat work surface, step, and load stop.

Smart Connectivity and Tech

A 13.4-inch central touchscreen display is standard on SLT, AT4, AT4X, Denali, and Denali Ultimate. It features built-in Google functionality, including Google Maps and a voice-activated Google Assistant. Lower trims include an 8-inch touchscreen, also compatible with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The system integrates with a 12.3-inch digital instrument panel (SLT and above) and a 15-inch head-up display on both Denali trims.

Nowhere does it get more versatile than in the 2025 Sierra 1500. This full-size pickup is the go-to choice for all needs that only a truck can meet. Get yours today at Oxendale GMC in Flagstaff, AZ.
